Take a Break – are you out of steam?

When do you keep pushing on? Sure you have to work like crazy to get your network marketing business into top gear, but do you never stop?

Some days you wake up feeling uninspired. Well I used to believe that actions followed emotions. You know the old excuse – ‘Well I’m not in the mood so I’ll wait till inspiration strikes.’ That’s a bit like getting struck by lightening, which is pretty rare.

If you make yourself start on a project or some of your daily business building activities, then inspiration and energy begin to flow in. You feel better and your momentum builds up. The emotions have changed because you took some action. But sometimes this doesn’t work. [click to continue…]

This industry is about helping people to realise their dreams. So you are new in the business and you want to save the world and make sure everyone who joins you is super successful. Well that doesn’t work, even if you are a yellow personality! It is sad but true that 80% of your business will come from 20% of your team. Those are the numbers and you will never change them. That is human nature.

But the trick is to recognise the 20%. A lot of guys talk themselves up, but do they put their money where their mouth is? How can you tell the potential leaders from the rest? Observe and listen.

Good leaders are first good followers and they are coachable. Either your team or your MLM company will have a system to work with. When you go through an induction process with new team members, do they do what they are asked to? [click to continue…]

Something that new team members struggle with is being consistent with their business building activities. Often this happens if they are under some kind of stress. You know the kind of excuse – well I wasn’t feeling very positive so I thought I should wait till I was more in the mood.

No, no, no! I used to think that actions follow emotions. In other words you perform better when you are feeling in a good state of mind. Well that is true, up to a point. But if you keep waiting till tomorrow to get the mood right before you do it…..well you know what – tomorrow never comes. [click to continue…]
