You will need to find a network marketing training mentor now that you have started your business. You can find out the hard way by spending a lot of money over the next few months. But it is better to know how to assess a mentor.
To be successful in building your business, you must have a mentor. This business is about teamwork. Your mentor must be someone:
1. Who is still actively building a business
2. Who is successful and earning a substantial income
3. Who really has experienced the rough and the smooth
You do not need someone with an employer mentality. You want to find a good teacher. You want personal, one on one live professional support, not just emails and auto responders. Do some research; talk to satisfied network marketers; research the background of a potential mentor.
You have expectations of your company so apply those to a mentor.
• You should be able to access archived audio and video programmes previously offered by a mentor
• Your mentor should encourage personal development and endorse this by practising himself
• You should expect a prompt response to your queries, either by email or phone [click to continue…]

If you are like most network marketers, you will be familiar with Napoleon Hill’s classic book, ‘Think and grow Rich’. In chapter 2 he tells the story of the penniless Edwin C. Barnes and his determination to become a business partner of the great inventor Thomas Edison:

Barnes’ desire was not a hope! It was not a wish! It was a keen, pulsating DESIRE, which transcended everything else. It was DEFINITE.”

A year ago he was being hailed as the successor to Roger Federer, probably the greatest player ever. Then he was hit by career threatening injury and medical specialists said his playing days were probably over. Last year was a disaster for him. [click to continue…]

When someone says “I want to join your business opportunity”, most network marketers get really excited, but this is only the beginning. You have to ask some important questions when you hear that magic phrase. If you don’t do this, they will get lost and disappear. Of course every one of your team members is ultimately responsible for their own success. However there is a lot you can do to launch them on their journey to wealth. Consider these points to start them off.
- When you both know what their goals are, you can develop a strategy together. Ask what their targets are for a month, six months and twelve month ahead.
- Achieving product sales is vital and their warm market may be a legitimate area to begin with. Find out what other outlets they plan to target.
- To find a plan that fits your new team member, ascertain their interests and potential strengths. Team building and selling products require different skills. [click to continue…]
