Whether you are rich or poor is a choice and a mindset. You must take responsibility for what you have or what you lack. That may sound harsh, especially in the current economic climate. Many people feel things are out of their control. After all if your company has down sized and made you redundant, leaving you without an income, is it your fault that you have spiralling debt? Well real leaders take full responsibility for everything in their lives.
But more than that, remember that thoughts become things. Everything mankind has ever done has begun as a thought before becoming a tangible reality. So too for each of us.

“When you focus on yourself, you increase the tension but when you focus on the other person, you decrease the tension.”
Sometimes this is easier said than done even though I’m sure most of you are familiar with Zig Ziglar’s oft quoted saying “Help enough other people to get what they want and you can have everything you want.”
The trouble is that it is easy to say these things but sometimes we fall short. I know I do which is why I often talk about this in different ways! After all we are all human. You know how it is when you have had a lean patch in your business; maybe growth has slowed right down. So someone comes along who seems like a good prospect for your opportunity and the network marketing fangs come out! [click to continue…]

For about 4 weeks I have been building a relationship with someone whom I met through the Mentoring for Free system. I work with many people in this way and I have helped them to become more successful in their network marketing businesses. This particular person was looking for a company to join so it seemed likely that we might end up as business partners, rather than it being simply a mentoring relationship.
Nevertheless it was some time before he asked me what company I worked for. This is so important when building a relationship with someone in this industry. The focus must be on their needs and what they see themselves doing with a business.
He has not been directly involved in MLM but over many years he helped his father who was in the business. He has a good understanding of things and he definitely knew what he did NOT want to do. No old style parties or hitting everyone on a ‘100 name list’! So we spent time looking at how he could find the right fit for himself. [click to continue…]
