Your ‘Why’

Your Values – time to reconsider?

by Charlie on August 26, 2010

Do you want to have a good network marketing business or a great business? If money is your main motivation, then you will never reach the heights of greatness. That will ruffle a few feathers.

If you saw the video posted in my last article, with Art Jonak, Ken Dunn and Orjan Saele, you should have begun to get a feel for how the top people in our profession think. You may say that it is easy not to be concerned about the money when you have it.

I would like to suggest that you need to let go of the need for money in order to reach the big league. That may not be so easy. Perhaps you are still working towards replacing your job; you have a family to support; you desire a new home – whatever. These are important things but the dream of network marketing is one that offers the potential for true greatness. That is a word one of my mentors uses often and with good reason. Do you Want Success or do you Desire Success?

by Charlie on March 4, 2010

This is not just a quirky play on words. The other side of want is lack. It is important to guard your thoughts and keep a positive mindset. If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you will know how much importance I place on personal development and the right mental attitude. Strength of mind is often more crucial than skills and techniques to achieve success in any field of human endeavour. Certainly, it will make the difference when all else is equal. Just watch runners lining up at the start of an Olympic race. Each is focused on what is ahead, visualising what is to come and seeing the winning tape as being his and only his.

Those guys don’t just want to win; they have a burning desire, an obsession at that moment. At the beginning of your MLM journey it may be hard to have that level of inner drive. [click to continue…]

Dreams, Goals, Fantasies & MLM Reality

by Charlie on January 20, 2010

When you were a kid, you could have anything you wanted. You only had to dream about it and pretend it was there. Then the big people started to tell you to get your feet on the ground and get real. Do you remember? You lost the dreams and forgot how to go to that magical place. Now everyone in Network Marketing talks about having vision boards, scrapbooks and the like to keep you motivated. Many say that if you are not successful, it is because your dream is not big enough or your vision board is not filled with enough inspiring images. [click to continue…]

Lead with your WHY

by Charlie on January 7, 2010

As a great coach and mentor, your most important asset is simply you. Supreme leaders set such
an example; walking their talk so that those they guide just cannot help but follow. That was how Mahatma Gandhi freed India from the tyranny of British colonial rule. His WHY was such a burning passion that he was prepared to fast to death for it and he mobilised thousands of people in totally peaceful protest.

Well you sure don’t need to fast like that!! But you need that same passion. You need a WHY that brings a lump to your throat; that you focus on every day; from which you never waver. Those you mentor and train will feel it and be inspired to their own heights of excellence. [click to continue…]

Why are you in this business?

by Charlie on December 24, 2009

To make my fortune of course! – I’m looking for financial freedom. – I want to own my life.

Sure – but that’s not enough. You will meet challenges on your journey and you must have a stronger, more specific reason for what you are doing. I’m sure most of you are familiar with ‘vision boards’ and ‘dream books’. Certainly since the release of the film The Secret they have become regular tools for most entrepreneurs.

The majority of people fill them with new cars, houses, holidays etc. As far as they go, they will give you motivation.

But are you a real dreamer, a visionary? Do you want to leave a lasting mark on the world after you have gone? Not necessarily that your name will be remembered – though it might be – but do you dream that many lives will have been enriched by your presence? Possibly even that your legacy will continue to change lives? [click to continue…]

Burning Desire

December 24, 2009

Picture yourself five years from now……will you be living the Life of your Dreams?  Free to do what you want; when you want and with whom you want? Assume you work with a good company, so the basic requirements for success are there, in terms of the Five Pillars. So then it is down to [...]
