“Let me show you how to get 100 leads a day!” Hmmm, maybe I’m an old cynic but what does that mean when you hear it? Are the leads real and how do they translate into genuine prospects and then business partners? There are a lot of folk in our profession who appear to stress quantity over quality. Seriously, could you call 100 people a day?
We all work with different lead generating systems. In the one I use, a lead is really only of value if I can call him or her. Simply opting in to a list means little. That useful lead then only becomes a prospect if the first call results in building a relationship. Are you still looking for the four leaf clover or the rabbit’s foot? Of course not because you know that the harder we work, the luckier we get – you don’t need that stuff. We are all true network marketing professionals. I wonder…..
Do know how a lie detector machine works? You tell a lie and someone hears your words but the machine picks up more subtle things like heart beat. Those subtle signals reveal the truth. So where does this fit with luck?

Setting your goals too high can be a recipe for frustration and disappointment. But hey, what about all those dream boards filled with pictures of beautiful mansions and exotic holidays?
We often tell newbies in network marketing to set big goals. You know the stuff about it being impossible to ask for too much. I’ve done it. I still do. That’s the big dreams and that’s fine. But how you get there is by working day to day on the small stuff.

The teacher in my karate class last night really captured my attention……are you wondering what is coming next?
They say stories sell – well maybe not quite but they catch people’s attention. We don’t see them as a sales pitch so we are listening to what follows. “When you focus on yourself, you increase the tension but when you focus on the other person, you decrease the tension.”
Sometimes this is easier said than done even though I’m sure most of you are familiar with Zig Ziglar’s oft quoted saying “Help enough other people to get what they want and you can have everything you want.”
The trouble is that it is easy to say these things but sometimes we fall short. I know I do which is why I often talk about this in different ways! After all we are all human. You know how it is when you have had a lean patch in your business; maybe growth has slowed right down.
