Network Marketing Training Mentor

by Charlie on April 25, 2011

You will need to find a network marketing training mentor now that you have started your business. You can find out the hard way by spending a lot of money over the next few months. But it is better to know how to assess a mentor.

To be successful in building your business, you must have a mentor. This business is about teamwork. Your mentor must be someone:

1. Who is still actively building a business
2. Who is successful and earning a substantial income
3. Who really has experienced the rough and the smooth

You do not need someone with an employer mentality. You want to find a good teacher. You want personal, one on one live professional support, not just emails and auto responders. Do some research; talk to satisfied network marketers; research the background of a potential mentor.
You have expectations of your company so apply those to a mentor.

You should be able to access archived audio and video programmes previously offered by a mentor
Your mentor should encourage personal development and endorse this by practising himself
You should expect a prompt response to your queries, either by email or phone [click to continue…]

Well most people do – or do they? In my team we talk about a new distributor being coachable. That is someone who acknowledges that as they are new to the team, they have a lot of new stuff to learn. Even if they have been in the industry before, there will be new ways of working that they need to take on board.

If network marketing is totally new for them, then for sure, they should be prepared to listen to someone more experienced. Yet I am still surprised at new distributors who are not prepared to listen.

I have been talking to several top earners in the industry (some of them on the video below) and they still have mentors to whom they turn for advice. [click to continue…]

Leadership and your team

by Charlie on May 18, 2010

Most of you reading this will be leaders or aspiring to be leaders. To be really successful in MLM and to build a huge residual income, you will have to become a leader. So how do you achieve this; why should you and what does it mean?

First you must have a mentor with real experience of network marketing; someone who has the battle scars to prove it. Too many so called gurus out there have little or no real experience in the trenches. You must always be accountable to someone and they may not be within your company – but find them. Can we make it alone in MLM?

by Charlie on April 22, 2010

This is a question I am often asked and the answer is ‘yes & no’. It is true that we are responsible for our own success. We cannot blame anyone else for our failures but that does not necessarily mean that we can make it as a ‘lone wolf’.

When I was younger I had a conventional business in construction. I tended to work as a ‘one man band’ and I did achieve a degree of success. In fact at the time I felt I was doing well and I certainly had a good reputation. However with the wisdom of hindsight (such a wonderful thing) I see that there were things I could have done much better had I not relied so much on my own resources.

The MLM business model is rare, if not unique, in that your team is what produces your income yet you have no control over them as everyone is an independent business owner. As my mentor often says my success does not depend on my sponsor or any superstar whom I bring in to my business – it depends on me. So am I alone? Definitely not. I believe that ‘Life is a team effort’. It is about teamwork. [click to continue…]

MLM Recruiting – just the first step

by Charlie on March 19, 2010

When someone says “I want to join your business opportunity”, most network marketers get really excited, but this is only the beginning. You have to ask  some important questions when you hear that magic phrase. If you don’t do this, they will get lost and disappear. Of course every one of your team members is ultimately responsible for their own success. However there is a lot you can do to launch them on their journey to wealth. Consider these points to start them off.

  • When you both know what their goals are, you can develop a strategy together. Ask what their targets are for a month, six months and twelve month ahead.
  • Achieving product sales is vital and their warm market may be a legitimate area to begin with. Find out what other outlets they plan to target.
  • To find a plan that fits your new team member, ascertain their interests and potential strengths. Team building and selling products require different skills. [click to continue…]

Why you must find a great MLM guru

January 12, 2010

First you need to find someone still active in the MLM industry. Many coaches are not. That may be fine as a football coach. But Network Marketing is changing almost by the day with the internet. If your mentor is still active, then you know he has been through the challenges that you are facing [...]
