“Learn how anyone, (even internet dummies) can create “sick amounts of money” by turning $25 into a Mega Fortune!”
Hmm, well maybe I’m an old fashioned guy but a website headline like that sure sets off warning bells for me. Is that the tone you would expect from a respectable and ethical company?
This MLM opportunity is backed by a 12 year old debt free company. That sounds fine. The next thing we see is that you can earn $12,750 in 8 weeks. That definitely sounds like ‘get rich quick’ to me but let’s have a look at how you can earn. The website states:
- You join for $25 (zero admin fee)
- You get access to a HUGE bank of educational tools worth hundreds of times more that what you paid.
- You get the $25 back instantly with your first person.
- You make serious money.
- You make residual income every 30 days. [click to continue…]

My mentors, (30 year veterans in the industry) Michael and Linda Dlouhy are often asked by Leaders in many different Network Marketing Companies to write an article to address some of the problems that plague our industry. Here is their response.

When a great leader falls because of a lack of integrity, it is very painful for all involved. Tearing another person down to build yourself up, only leads to a false impression of yourself. When someone is tearing others down in front of You this is a guarantee they will do the same to You behind Your back. Ultimately you will crash and burn from your lack of character.
The question is:
Would You Want This Person As Your Sponsor ?
Life can give us challenges in many areas of our life. How we handle those challenges ourselves and who helps us, can determine our success or failure. Loyalty to do the right thing enters into all decisions. Friendships built on loyalty and trust are like support beams for a foundation.
A foundation is the beginning. This applies to your marriage, your friendships, your home and your business. If you build them correctly, they will sustain you your lifetime. If you build carelessly everything will crumble around you.
Leaders are built. Day by day, Lesson by lesson. When a leader chooses to fall, they sacrifice their integrity, their honor and their character. [click to continue…]

Usually people with a strong sales background are not very successful in MLM. Yet Jim Rohn used to say that when he discovered sales at the age of 25, it dramatically changed his life. My own team leader, the most successful distributor in my company often stresses the importance of selling product. But we also say that network marketing is a relationship business and not a sales business. Wow, that is a bit confusing.
The magic of this industry is that residual income is created by the ‘repeat principle’. Without repeat sales and repeat actions by your team members, you have no business. Without product sales, there is no volume in your company. Without volume, there is no cash to pay you. So how do you get the sales?
Whether you are looking for a new customer or a new distributor, your first job is to identify a need. Do they have a problem in their life that one of your products can solve? Would they benefit from joining your business and creating extra income? If they answer yes, then go on and stress the benefits of what you have to offer. Now comes the next step. Do you close them? No gain without pain – when I was young, we knew what hard work was – blah, blah. Of course it takes hard work to build a profitable MLM business. But you need to work smart and not be sucked into all those clichés you have probably heard from your parents and everyone else in your life.
Deepak Chopra talks about what he calls the law of ‘Least Effort’. No, don’t think this is an easy ride. There is no free lunch in life. But if you are doing things right, they should be effortless. You should not be struggling if you follow the principles I shared in my third post of giving first.
I just had an awesome call with a lady who approached me in my capacity as a mentor. She is not yet having success with her current company and looking at the business model, she will probably continue to struggle. But she wants to make that work and I can help her to do better. Financially I will not benefit because I offer my mentoring services for free. [click to continue…]

We talk in network marketing about the fact that it is a people business. It is about helping others to be successful. How often people quote Zig Ziglar, ‘If you help enough other people to have whatever they want, you will have everything you want’
But let me ask you to look honestly at yourself. Are you really putting others first? How much is your own agenda still there, even if it is hidden in the back of your mind? In this series of articles I am looking at Deepak Chopra’s ‘Seven Laws of Spiritual Success’. He refers to what he calls the law of ‘Giving and Receiving’ and the law of ‘Karma’. Maybe this all sounds a bit high brow. Looking at great leaders throughout history can be a little daunting. We compare ourselves with them and start to feel a little inadequate. [click to continue…]
