My mentor is one of the global success stories in Network Marketing. People often tell him he is lucky. As someone who works harder than almost anyone I know, I believe he creates his own luck. So hard work is the basis of ‘luck’ but let’s look at what other factors come into the equation.
People join people so MLM is fundamentally about you. But you still need to find a company where you feel comfortable with a management team which has real integrity. That is often not the case so do some due diligence here and do a search on the team members to find out about them. You can often predict a company that will go ‘belly up’ in the first couple of years by looking at who runs it.
Consider the product too. To create volume, the product has to be a good seller and one you believe in and use – and that you would buy even if it wasn’t your business. [click to continue…]

It is difficult to choose which Network Marketing company is best for you, especially as there are hundreds to look at. Nobody else can tell you what will work for you, but here are some points to think about when you are deciding which one to make your home.
1. Company management – do the members of the management team have experience as distributors? If not, they will not understand the challenges you face and they may make decisions from a corporate perspective rather than from that of the distributors. I would go a step further and suggest that they should still be actively building a downline. The MLM industry is changing so rapidly that they will be out of touch with the current demands of building a business if they are not still active. The bottom line is that the company is there to serve and pay the distributors. [click to continue…]

When someone says “I want to join your business opportunity”, most network marketers get really excited, but this is only the beginning. You have to ask some important questions when you hear that magic phrase. If you don’t do this, they will get lost and disappear. Of course every one of your team members is ultimately responsible for their own success. However there is a lot you can do to launch them on their journey to wealth. Consider these points to start them off.
- When you both know what their goals are, you can develop a strategy together. Ask what their targets are for a month, six months and twelve month ahead.
- Achieving product sales is vital and their warm market may be a legitimate area to begin with. Find out what other outlets they plan to target.
- To find a plan that fits your new team member, ascertain their interests and potential strengths. Team building and selling products require different skills. [click to continue…]

Zig Ziglar’s famous quote has become rather well worked but it is still absolutely right on – “Help enough other people to get what they want and you can have anything you want.” Of course you are building a home business to create wealth and financial freedom for yourself. But if you focus on you, you will fail.
Network Marketing is a rare business opportunity model in that everyone in your team is an independent distributor. Yet if you cannot mould them into a cohesive unit, you don’t have much chance of success. You must become ‘a mentor with a servant’s heart’ and key to this is to become a great listener – a leader, not a boss. [click to continue…]

A blog can be great tool to brand yourself as an MLM professional; to build relationships; to meet people, maybe new business partners and to learn by connecting you with the community of bloggers. But is it working? How well oiled is it? Are people actually finding it? Driving traffic to your blog is not rocket science, but you need to be aware of some basic tools and requirements. I certainly wasn’t when I started and I think my blog was floating around in cyberspace with hardly a visitor for quite some time!
Once you commit to it, you will need to put regular time and energy into it. If you want it to generate fresh MLM leads, it’s worth it. The key is to get search engines to find you. That requires that you have plenty of good content. You can and should have several pages –- ‘About You’, a resource or recommendation page, perhaps specific training topics. These are some ideas and what you choose to offer will depend on what the purpose or theme of your blog is going to be. [click to continue…]
